Ceramic Sugar Skulls:
Sold individually.
Sugar skulls made from either sugar or clay originate in the Mexican celebration of the Day of the Dead (Día de Muertos) that is celebrated on 1 and 2 November every year. These highly decorative ornaments are placed on an altar with food, photos and treats for the departed – to welcome them back home for the festival. Often, individual skulls represent specific people and can even be adorned with their name.
Our skulls are hand-painted ceramic ornaments – each one is unique. Come through to the shop to choose your perfect one, or place and order for one here and we’ll send you a surprise colour and design in the size of your choice.
