Refried beans are cooked Mexican beans that have been fried in hot oil with chopped onion and blended into a smooth paste. The beans used in this product are Mexican Bayo beans which give the product a rich cream colour and a pleasant subtle savoriness.
Refried beans can be served as a side dish to Mexican food and as a filling for burritos, tostadas and tacos. They are particularly tasty when paired with a salty cheese such as queso fresco or a firm feta.
Refrigerate after opening in a sealed container and use within 4 weeks.
