Fried Chicken – with gluten free batter

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cups Masa Harina +
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1 kg chicken, cut into pieces

A great way to enjoy a delicious gluten free fried chicken.
Makes 6-8 pieces

DIRECTIONS:

  1. In a large bowl, mix the Masa Harina, baking powder and salt.
  2. Separately, beat an egg with the water. Incorporate to the dry ingredients.
  3. Stir until batter is smooth.
  4. Heat oil to medium.
  5. Pat dry chicken. Dip into batter. Fry until golden brown.
  6. Serve with a salsa of your choice.
