🇲🇽 Our Month of Remembrance 🇲🇽
¡Hola Amigos!
October is a very special month for every Mexican because we celebrate Día de Muertos, one of Mexico’s most beautiful and meaningful traditions. Despite its name, Day of the Dead is not about death at all, but about celebrating life, love and the beautiful memories that keep our loved ones that have parted alive in our hearts.
I love setting up my altar every year and making it very personal, with photographs and little memories of my dear family members and close friends who have passed away.
For me, it is a beautiful way to keep their memories alive. By sharing these tradition and stories with my son and daughter, I also give them the chance to get to know the generations that came before them and understand their roots and where they come from.
We remember the people we loved, the things they enjoyed and the stories they left behind. As long as we remember our loved ones, a little part of them will always be with us—and, of course, we celebrate with food!
DIA DE MUERTOS is a celebration of life, love and memories, and one of the Mexican traditions I hold especially close to my heart ❤️
